Fall Wedding at The Mansion
Marissa and David had their fall wedding at The Mansion in Austin, TX. The Mansion is a beautiful historic venue that was built in the 1930s and was formerly known as the Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs. It’s a beautiful brick building with white columns, a front porch balcony, and white shuttered windows. The interior is gorgeous as well. When you step inside, you feel as though you’ve traveled back in time.
The ladies started out the day at The Renaissance Hotel in the Arboretum. The room was filled with laughter, champagne, silly socks, and some sweet snuggles between Marissa and her little niece. Marissa’s art deco beaded wedding dress, hairstyle, pearls, and hair pin went perfectly with the vintage look of the venue. The bridesmaids wore mismatched purple dresses from David’s Bridal. Half of the dresses had a purple floral pattern and the other half were solid purple. The bouquets had lots of greenery with some purple and white flowers. Marissa’s bouquet had a cute little pineapple to go along with their tropical theme.
David and his guys got ready in a room behind the stage in the Grand Ballroom at The Mansion. They had fun playing Nintendo games while they waited for the ceremony to start. David wore a black tux, a lavender button up, and a purple plaid bowtie with a matching pocket square and suspenders.
Ceremony in The Mansion Courtyard
The ceremony took place in the courtyard just after sunset. The courtyard is a beautiful area in the middle of The Mansion that is surrounded by the building’s brick walls. There’s a fountain and some trees, along with some string lights strung overhead. Marissa and David decorated the ceremony backdrop with greenery, purple flowers, and purple tulle. The aisles were lined with purple and yellow candles and the aisle chairs were decorated with purple roses. Each aisle seat had a lavender confetti popper to use during the processional. They also had LED light up balloons!
Reception in The Grand Ballroom at The Mansion
They decorated the ballroom with purple tablecloths, centerpieces with vintage books, greenery, and pineapple candles. And they used vintage plates for the place settings. Also loved that they put metallic balloons on the stage with their last name! They had some sweet speeches, lots of fun dancing, and delicious cupcakes for dessert!
