Colorful Spring Wedding at Villa Antonia
Annie and Dominic’s colorful, foodie inspired wedding at Villa Antonia was a dream to photograph. Villa Antonia is a beautiful Tuscan inspired venue that overlooks scenic rolling hills. The ceremony site had a modern hexagon wedding arch decorated with colorful florals, and vintage sofas and modern gold chairs for the seating. The bridesmaids each wore a unique pink sequined dresses, and the groomsmen wore grey suits with pink ties. During the reception, Annie changed into a second dress that was pink and gold. It was gorgeous!!
Because Annie and Dominic share a love of food, they made sure that their guests had an incredible food experience from cocktail hour to dessert. They had a farm-to-market themed cocktail hour with cheeses, spreads, fruit, and vegetables. Instead of having table numbers, they arranged their seating by different fruit and vegetable puns like “Apple-ly Ever After.” It was such a cute idea! For centerpieces, they used tall gold vases with colorful florals and tropical leaves. The tables were decorated with blush tablecloths, sparkly table runners, florals, candles, and sliced grapefruits and pomegranates. The blue glassware gave the tables an extra pop of color.
For dessert they had four different cakes, plus a dessert bar with mousses, puddings, and other small treats. Since Annie owns Cacao and Cardamom, an artisanal chocolatier in the Houston area, there were also chocolate favors for guests to enjoy. Right after the cake cutting, they had a surprise fireworks show followed by a coordinated first dance!
